About Canidae Cat Food

Canidae has sold hundreds of dry food, canned food, and treats for dogs and cats for over twenty years. Co-founders John Gordon and Scott Whipple met as teenagers and started discussing how to change the pet food industry. In 1996  they developed their first line of pet food with the help of pet nutritionists and veterinarians.

Canidae wet and dry foods are manufactured at its Ethos Pet Nutrition facility in Brownwood, Texas.

Canidae has partnered with US farmers to grow several crops, including yellow peas, millet, parsley, rosemary, sage, zucchini, pumpkin, and tomatoes.

Is Canidae Good Cat Food?

Canidae cat food is an affordable, decent option for those on a budget. The grain-free PURE formulas are worth the higher price tag when you consider their limited ingredients.

When comparing to other store bought brands in the same price range, they stand out due to their lack of artificial ingredients and additives. However, their high carbohydrate content and the sub par ingredients works against the brand.

Canidae canned and wet cat foods are the better choice and do contain less fillers and and meals. While they do offer more protein and better quality meats, they are still high in carbohydrates.

Where Is Canidae Cat Food Sold?

Canidae Cat Foods are available in most pet stores, grocery store chains and big box stores, although varieties may vary. You can also purchase Canidae online through Amazon, Chewy, and various pet food retailers.
