About Cat Person Cat Food

Cat Person is fairly new to the cat food market, beginning in March of 2020. In addition to food, Cat Person offers a variety of on-trend products for cats, including beds, bowls, toys, and more. Jimmy Wu and Lambert Wang are the co-founders  of Cat Person and created the brand when it became obvious that cats and their people have been largely neglected. When they walked into pet stores, it almost felt like they walked into a dog store. The cat section always seemed tucked away and the selections were not great or designed specifically for cats.

Prior to launching the brand, Wu and Wang talked to all different kinds of cat people to assess their needs and desires, and researched cat foods to create Cat Person’s own line of healthy, protein rich, and high-quality ingredient food.

Cat Person isn’t an actual cat food manufacturer. Instead, they rely on co-packers in the United States and Thailand to make their products.

Cat Person Cat Food Experience

My cats were fed Cat Person wet and dry food over the next two weeks. I alternated the wet chicken recipe with the salmon and tuna recipe and let them free feed on the duck and turkey dry food.

Both cats loved the wet food recipes but seemed to leave some of the salmon and tuna wet food in the bowl. This maybe because this fish based recipe was more flakey while the chicken was like a pate texture. Both seemed to be very watery when opening the container.

As for the dry food, they seemed to like it just as much as any other kibble. They didn’t howl and beg for it but they also didn’t turn their noses up at it.

The Cat Person box was a big hit with one of my cats. He spent hours trying to chase the cardboard ball through the holes and eventually tore the box up.
